Internship Accounting & Consolidation (meewerkstage)
TotalEnergies is a leading international player in the energy market. TotalEnergies Holding Nederland (THNL) has been engaged in oil & gas exploration and production activities globally through its subsidiaries and branches on every continent. The finance department consists of an accounting team, and a consolidation team that both service various affiliates. The teams can use a helping hand the coming months and are looking for an intern to join them temporarily.
The internship
This is a full-time internship for a student that studies at a Dutch university, or University of Applied Sciences (hbo). Ideally you are available to start in January or February and stay with us for approximately 6 months. You will work alongside 3 General Ledger Accountants, and 1 Consolidation Analyst. Every day is a little different, and you will be exposed to various aspects of accounting and consolidation.
What will you be doing?
• Preparation of bank reconciliations for TotalEnergies Holdings NL (THNL) affiliates;
• Assisting in the preparation of balance sheet GL analysis for TE affiliates;
• Assisting in monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounts closure for THNL and its affiliates;
• Assisting in preparing the documentations and procedures for (Group) audit purposes;
• Preparation and collection of supporting documents for Anti-Corruption-Accounting-Control (ACAC) exercise;
• (Re-) invoicing process through IMP for TE affiliates;
• Assisting the consolidation team in the external audit process for the financial statements of 2024.
The ideal Accounting & Consolidation intern
You are internationally oriented, motivated, proactive, and eager to learn. You have a positive attitude and enjoy working in a team. It is important that you work structured and understand the importance of deadlines. Your numeric ability and keen eye for detail will also come in handy during your internship.
Your skills
- You are currently studying an Accounting or Economics related degree at Dutch hbo, or university level. E.g. Accountancy or Business Economics;
- You are available to start in February, and stay for approximately 6 months;
- You are available to work full-time;
- You have excellent English communication skills, Dutch and/or French is an advantage;
- You can work independently.
Our offer
A great internship experience where you will be exposed to various aspects of in-house accounting. You will be paid €600- per month, and will receive compensation for your travel costs. Furthermore, there is flexibility to partially work from home.
